To honor this turning of the light, Heather created a short video that brings our Island Folk Pottery Sculpture Trail to life - animating some of Bill’s woodland sculptures, weaving in music, and a Solstice Eve poem she wrote, which Bill kindly read aloud.
Here’s the poem:
When the last light dwindles on solstice eve
in anticipation of longer days,
the sculptures know to then reflect
to turn a page
to play a song
to know that springtime won’t be long.
Wishing you warmth, wonder, and a gentle return of the light.
